QUICK GUIDES

Before you make it yours

How do I choose the right template?

Start with your content: a magazine, portfolio, or personal blog may need a different layout. Check the demo’s article pages as well as its homepage.

Look for readable text, clear navigation, and the features you actually need. Use the categories and features directories to narrow your choices.

What should I check in a live demo?

Open the demo on a phone and a desktop. Try the menu, follow a few links, and check that images and text fit the screen. Look at both short and long articles where available.

Consider how your own titles, images, and advertisements would fit the layout.

What should I do before changing my theme?

Keep a backup of your current theme and content. Make a note of any custom code, widgets, menus, or advertising settings you may need to restore.

Read the template developer’s setup instructions, and try the new layout on a test blog when possible.

What should I check after setup?

Review your homepage, article pages, navigation, and mobile layout. Check images, links, widgets, and any ad placements you use.

Confirm the template’s license and credit requirements with the developer before publishing your changes.
